Mac Apps I use

These are apps I use regularly in my role as a software engineer.

Apparency

Allows you to easily visualize the security settings on any app. It’s also handy to debug issues when signing and notarizing your own apps.

AppZapper

Delete an app and all the crap that it has scattered around on your disk.

Bitwarden

A password manager. Syncs your computer and your phone. The free tier is really good. I like it a lot.

Charles

App for inspecting web traffic. Super handy for anyone doing any kind of web development.

Chrome

I don’t love Chrome as it’s essentially spy ware these days (So Chrome, you don’t get a screen shot). But I need it for two reasons: 1. To test web apps I develop. 2. Some sites only work in Chrome.
